PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY
The organization seeks an advanced practice clinician to support a surgical service within a regional referral facility. The role includes assisting in the operating room, conducting inpatient rounds, managing postoperative visits, evaluating new patients, and providing same day assessments. The position combines surgical and clinic responsibilities and includes scheduled night call.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in orthopedics or other surgical specialties preferred
• Ability to work in both operating room and clinic environments
• Capacity to participate in night call responsibilities
• Skill in evaluating surgical patients across the continuum of care
• Strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork, and patient satisfaction
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to assist in surgical procedures within The Department
• Skill in performing inpatient rounding and postoperative evaluations
• Capacity to assess new and same day patients in a busy clinical setting
• Proficiency in coordinating care with physicians and clinical staff
• Commitment to supporting high volume surgical services
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Combination of operating room duties and outpatient clinic care
• Collaboration with physicians and advanced practice clinicians
• Use of modern diagnostic tools and industry standard EMR
• Support from multidisciplinary hospital departments
• Structured schedule including surgical, clinic, and call responsibilities
