Locum Tenens Urgent Care NP/PA Colorado
Specialty: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Assignment: ASAP 3-month initial assignment
Schedule: Variable Monday Friday shifts plus weekend coverage required
Call: No call
Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care NP or PA to provide locum tenens coverage at a busy, high-acuity urgent care clinic in the Denver metro area.
ER experience is required, with high-acuity urgent care experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients of all ages
- See approximately 3 patients per hour
- ESI acuity levels 3, 4 and 5
- Suturing and wound care
- Incision & drainage
- Splinting
- Toenail removal
- General urgent care procedures and bread-and-butter urgent care
Schedule
Shifts vary weekly and may include:
- 8:00 AM 6:30 PM
- 9:30 AM 8:00 PM
- 11:00 AM 10:00 PM
- Weekends: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM or 8:30 AM 7:00 PM
Weekend availability is required.
Requirements
- Active Colorado license required
- Board Certified
- BLS, ACLS and PALS through the American Heart Association
- ER experience required
- Vaccination preferred; waivers may be considered
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity urgent care environment
Practice & Support
- Clinic setting
- LPNs and RNs on staff, with occasional MAs
- 2 Emergency Medicine physicians on site daily
- EPIC
- No call
- Credentialing approximately 60 days from application submission
